Delivery & Shipping

How much does delivery cost?
Delivery costs are set at checkout, unless large items are purchased. 

Mainland UK - £4.99.  Where Items purchased exceed 10kg on a single item, an additional £5 will be added. 
Delivery is usually made by Standard 2-4 working days delivery. If your parcel cannot be delivered within 2 attempts, re-delivery charges may apply. Please allow 3-5 working days for dispatch and then delivery. In the unlikely event your order could be delayed any longer than this for any reason, we will contact you by e-mail or phone as soon as we can. If you require this parcel for a particular deadline, then please contact us directly by email info@horsing-around.co.uk and we will do our upmost to speed up the process where possible. We may be able to find alternative delivery methods to assist with this (additional charges may apply, these will be quoted prior to purchase)

How quickly will my order be delivered?
Once an order has been placed and payment completed, most orders are dispatched within 3-5 working days via a tracked Next Day Courier Service or (for some smaller or lower value items) Royal Mail.  

How Will I Know where my Order has got to?
A Confirmation E-Mail, together with any relevant courier tracking details, will be sent to your specified e-mail address upon dispatch. If there are any problems with being able to dispatch your order quickly we will let you know as quickly as possible by phone or by e-Mail.

Will My Order Need to be Signed for?
All orders will require a signature on delivery – it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that somebody is able to sign for the delivery within the expected time frame at the delivery address specified. If the customer is out when the goods have an attempted delivery, the courier has the agreement that they can leave with a neighbour. This may not be an immediate neighbour but a few doors away.

What if there are Problems with Delivery?
Whilst we will make every effort to liaise with customers and with couriers in order to resolve any delivery difficulties, in the event of a parcel being returned due to non-delivery, additional delivery costs may be charged in order to complete any subsequent re-delivery. If you have any query regarding a delivery issue please contact us via email at
 info@horsing-around.co.uk. All parcel queries must be reported within 12 days from order date. If there is a case of a missing or damaged parcel and you are sent a Disclaimer form, this needs to be signed and sent back to our customer service staff within 48 hours so that we can proceed with the courier claim for you. Please note we may also request additional information to assist with a Damage or Loss claim.

Local Deliveries will be agreed with the customer and is only available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays. Local, Wirral only deliveries are FREE on orders over £25. A charge of £4.99 will be due for orders under £25.
